
Suhee Wooh is Korean-born artist based in New York City. She received a BFA and MFA from Ewha University in Seoul where she studied painting. She received her second MFA in Printmaking from Cranbrook Academy of Art with a Flint Family Scholarship. She had her first solo exhibit in New York at Dutch Kills Gallery in Long Island City, NY in 2010.
She is a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2011 and was nominated for the Rema Hort Mann Grant in 2009.
Her works have been featured nationally and internationally and have been included in the registries of the Drawing Center in Soho, the Irving Sandler File in Artists Space Gallery, Nurture Art and the Pierogi 2000 Flat Files. In 2000, She won Terna Prize in Italy in 2009. She participated in the Triangle International Artists Workshop in Brooklyn, NY and the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT in 2008. She is a recipient of of NY Studio Gallery residency, where she is having a second solo show in 2011. She will be an artist resident in the Nordic Artists Centre residency program in Dale, Norway in the summer of 2011.
